Double Whammy

Remember that old game show...Press your Luck? Remember those crazy whammies that would dance across the screen and laugh that they had just stolen all the contestants money? Well...that's how I feel today. I feel like I've been whammied and it's not a laughing matter.

I now have to get used to calling a man I have zero respect for...Mr. President.

......President Obama

I just don't like it. I don't think I ever will.

And to top it all off....do you know how depressing the day after Christmas always is? All the hype and expectation of Christmas is over and the Christmas tree is being taken down. You've eaten way too much turkey or ham and now you have to eat it for the next 5 days too. Well, that's how I feel today having celebrated Christmas yesterday with my Mom and step-dad....

Christmas is over...I have a knuckle-head president....I've been double whammied!

Amen! I have been trying to think of a name for him. I was thinking about calling him President B.O. Sounds like you had a great Christmas. I love Christmas!

That is rough! All I have to ask is when do you celebrate new years?! (Here they celebrate in Feb! But in the states, that always helps me after Christmas). As for the President, I'm with you there. I'm just praying that the changes in store will prompt renewal and revival in the the American church.

Sorry you're down today.

I haven't thought of Press Your Luck in years. My brother LOVED that show and we watched it all the time. You gave me a smile today...thanks.

I could not agree with you more! Definitely not happy with the presidential situation.

God Bless,

Nina, I feel for you today. I got a sense of your emotions and the sadness; I am sorry. I got through that each time a holiday comes and my dear family (those who love Jesus) live 1700 miles away; each time I say good-bye; each special event I miss...
Nevertheless, let us both be inspired to recall that we are to "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Col 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. !!!!!"
And of course, you can read the post of mr. o's win on my blog, entitled, I Serve the Right Master.
Hope you are encouraged shortly. Bless the Lord!

If it makes you feel any better, we got whammied yesterday with the whole president thing too! Also, Maw Maw is in the hospital (please be praying for her) in ICU and I gained a TON of weight this week and can hardly walk... so, I understand the whammy game. Have you ever noticed that that whammy thing kinda looks like a little devil? Oh well, other than that, things are good around here. I hope that you guys had a very Merry Christmas! I would sing you a carol, but I'm a day late and a bad singer :)
Love you guys,
Danielle

LOL!!!! Sorry I laughed, but knuckle-head president was so funny. We actually watch Press Your Luck everyday on The Game Show Network. They still show the old ones, but they have a new Press Your Luck usually just called Whammy now. I hope God blesses you and gives you a better day.

Yes, it's hard for me to feel respectful toward B.O. I like that nickname. It's very difficult for me to even say his name because Muslims hate Christians and they hate Americans. I didn't have any respect for Bill Clinton either, but if it was the only other choice, I'd take him over B. O. any day! All I can say is that I must keep reminding myself that Jesus died and rose again for ALL including B. O. and I must pray for his soul. I have to look at him through the eyes of Jesus.

Well,I hope you had a Merry Christmas. I am sure that you had fun being with your Mom. Let me share this verse with you about President Obama, Proverbs 21:1---"THE KING'S HEART IS IN THE HAND OF THE LORD,AS THE RIVERS OF WATER:HE TURNETH IT WHITHERSOEVER HE WILL." Now isn't that a great thing to think about. Hope it lifts your spirits. Have a great day. connie

I guess we'll have to see what we can do about Christmas again for you.....

As for Pres-elect B.O., I am praying for his salvation. Can you imagine how much his policies and ideals will change by inauguration day if he finds the Saviour of Christmas???!!! My, my, how the dems will be disappointed!

Oh Nina! Your reference to a "knuckle head president" made me laugh. Thanks, I've needed something to laugh about since Tuesday's election! I have so enjoyed your blog. It's very captivating!
