High Hopes

It's planting season in these parts. A fine yellow haze covers everything and is accompanied by sniffles, sneezes and watery eyes. The sun is bright, the wind is cool and soft...and life is good.

With the pretty weather comes my overwhelming desire to take pictures.

Lord willing, our garden won't wash away twice like it did last year. Here are a few pictures of the beginning stages....

"Tools"

"High Hopes"

"Pepino"

"Big Dreams"

"Independence 2"

Please pray for "Bia's" family. She went home to be with her Lord this morning. Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement for our family. Be in pray for the funeral services.

Ohhhh how fun, you have a garden!!! I love to plant! I worked in our garden growing. It was three sections and very very large. I dis liked it then but now the thing I want to do in the spring is get some dirt and a few seeds. Jeje. I got a rose to put on my window ledge in stead this spring. Apartment living can have it´s disadvantages.

But oh I do hope you have a wonderful garden this year!! Enjoy for me too! I can just imagine my bare feet in the dirt!

I will pray for Bia´s family. I feel for you all.

As far as the gardening I think the boss(the little fellow in the red shirt) has everything under control. Priceless!!

My hubby talked me into a garden this year. Even after half a dozen failures. We'll see if we keep anything alive this year. ;)

Love the citrus tree in the background! Reminds me of California. We had avocado trees in our CA backyard.

Sorry about Bia. A sad season in your home right now. Is Brooklyn doing okay?

I hope you have a beautiful garden and that you have fun growing it!! Love these pictures and looking forward to more.

Papa would be so proud if he could see these pictures. He thinks that if you don't have a garden, you are basically worthless. They seldom come to our house. He is getting more and more the hermit, sitting in his recliner most days. He only gets out to cut the grass, work in his garden, feed the dog, go to church on Sunday and keep his doctor's appointments. When I took him to Princeton for his arteriogram, he made me drive on streets because the interstate makes him too anxious. It took 45 minutes and should have taken about 15-20. Please send me these pictures in an email so I can print them and take them to him. It will be the highlight of his week.

I Love you,

Nanny
