1 + 4 + 3

What do all these pictures have in common?

Well, they're all of couples that are in love with each other. Their love has proven itself over the years. Some have been married just a few years while my Grandparents have been married for over 60 years. Love comes in all shapes and sizes. But one thing I'm convinced of is that Love is a decision... not a hole you fall into and out of. My anniversary is just around the corner and I've been thinking about the years I've spent married to the most handsome man in the world. (Sorry ladies...but it's the truth!) We met in January of 1989. This next January we will have know each other for 20 years and married over 11 of those years. Does Love evolve? I believe it does. Love matures with each person and is shaped into what we want it to be. It's all about decisions, sacrifice and dedication.....just call me Dr. Phil!

"It's been a fantastic 11 years, My Love!!"

Very well written.... and so true!
Happy Anniversary (early)!

Okay, I'm almost embarrassed to ask because the answer is probably obvious... what does the title of your post mean? I just can't figure it out!

Pam,
My husband and I used to use those numbers as a way to say " I Love You." 1 + 4 + 3

Aww, how sweet is this post!
Great words of wisdom Nina.

Johnny and I will celebrate our 17th anniversary in June and it's true love does evolve. I wouldn't have it like it was for anything, it's so much better than it ever was.

Happy anniversary!!!

Nicely said, Nina. And I believe all struggles, especially the struggles of mission field life, can work to deepen and enrich our marital relationship if only we will dwell in His presence and allow Him to work in us.
One thing I do not understand in what you said, however. How can your husband be the most handsome man in the world? He is not a middle-aged, balding oriental man with bad eyes. That is the epitomy of male beauty -- at least in my world. lol. God bless you guys on your anniversary.

I love it! The pictures are priceless, especially the one of your mom and Uncle Terry. I have never seen that one before. It is true that love grows through the years, but even more true is the statement that you choose to keep loving. It can be hard at times, but it is so worth it. I love you guys and thanks for the post. It was a great pick-me-up today!
Love,
Danielle
