Old Portugal

Today we drove to the "birth place of Portugal" and did a little sight seeing. I'll not bore you with a history lesson, but I will show you some of the pictures I took. That's all you really want to see anyway....huh?---I'll just say this...Portugal is very old. Some of the things we saw today were easily 500 years old. At one point during our tour of a relatively small museum, Trinity turned to me and asked, "When are we going to get out of all this old stuff?" We weren't allowed to touch anything and at times I felt like we couldn't even talk above a whisper. As if our voices would decrease the value of the objects. There were monitors in every room of this castle watching my kids like a hawk. I guess they had cause to....after all....Justice was with us! (click on any picture to enlarge it)

The Chapel

Brooklyn sitting on the front pew.

Liberty loved the stained glass.

Did peoples noses really look like that back then?

Us

Now that's a window.

And that' a cute couple!

Trin

Notice Justice is inside the red rope where he isn't supposed to be. That was the story of our day.

Kids are so easily entertained.

Now that's a door!

And this is our house....ahem..yeah right!

Great pictures! We just got back from a vacation in Asheville and had a tour of the old historic downtown buildings (I posted a few pictures of those very creative designed buildings on my blog). I'm sure your tour was much more historical. :) I love stained glass windows too.

The pictures are beautiful! I just love looking at your pictures. The girls are absolutely beautiful too! I love their hair fixed like that. I know what it's like keeping up with a boy too.....If he's like Dylan, it never gets better! He is always going and going and going.......

Love You!

Beautiful photos!!! All I know about Portugal is my uncle, aunt, and cousin lived there for some time. Because my uncle was in the air force. So it is nice to see what some of Portugal looks like.

Wow, I'm so glad that your camera is working out so well. It made some pretty awesome pictures. I agree whole heartedly with what you said in your email! It looks like you guys had a good time on the tour. Maybe one day I'll get to go with you! I know your mom is excited to see you soon. We talked about it this weekend when I saw her at Grandma's house. Well, I love you and I'll let other people leave some comments now :)
Love,
Danielle

While in Europe, I realized how young our country really is. I mean, lots of building over there are way older than our country!!!
