Springtime Defined

Hat Chick recently asked what springtime meant to me.

Well...here goes.....

To me it means I get to use my clothes line again! This morning I was able to use it 'officially' for the first time this year.

It means the kids have been using the swing in the olive tree.

It means Major won't let anyone outside without first throwing his ball.

It means the plumb trees are blooming.

It means Mom's lazy chair is warming itself in the sun.

But we can still enjoy the spoils of winter....citrus fruits. (These navel oranges are waiting on you Mom!)

And these lemons are crying out to be made into lemonade.

And it means my tiny azaleas are finally blooming.

It means more sunshine and less gray skies. It means more outdoor exercise and it means I am HAPPY!

Happy Hump Day ya'll!

I'm ready to put the windows up and let the fresh air in! It's still too cold for that here...but maybe soon spring will be in the air! I can't wait!

I can not wait until those 70's start showing up on that out door thermometer! The only thing around here that is blooming are the daffodils. Although my hyacinth's are blooming! They smell so good.
Nothing like getting out in the spring to see what has peeped its little head out of the soil. God is so good to give us these little treasures after being locked in doors for so many months.
I will push the kids on that swing, and throw that ball for Major... IF... the weather is good.
On your way out the door coming to the airport, tell Brooklyn to pull an orange and bring it to me...
hey are the Calla Lillies blooming?
11 days and counting... cant wait to see you all!

Love Mom

It really looks like spring on your blog with all those pics. I love azaleas, they are so delicate. It´s too hot from them to grow here.
Happy Spring!
